Chlorella replaces other expensive supplements

A healthy diet includes a wide range of vitamins and minerals for good health. However, modern diets often lack many of the vitamins and minerals we need. Health conscious people often try to replace these vitamins and minerals with many supplements.

Chlorella, a protein-packed whole food, replaces many of these supplements. Because these essential vitamins and minerals occur naturally in Chlorella, it is the next best thing to ingesting the vitamins through food consumption.

Here are Chlorella’s major vitamins and minerals, and a brief explanation of their function and importance in the human body:

  • Phosphorous – Strengthens bones and teeth and aids in release of energy from food.
  • Iron – Aids in production of red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout the body.
  • Calcium – Strengthens bones and teeth, improves muscle and heart health.
  • Potassium – Controls fluid balance in body and may help lower blood pressure.
  • Magnesium – Converts food to energy and aids in function of the parathyroid glands, which produce hormones essential to bone health.
  • Beta-carotene – Converts to Vitamin A in the body, which strengthens immune system, maintains skin health, and improves vision.
  • Thiamin (B1) – Helps to break down food and convert it to energy and improves nerve and muscle health.
  • Riboflavin (B2) – Maintains health of skin, eyes, nervous system, and mucous membranes. Aids in absorption of iron and helps produce steroids and red blood cells.
  • Niacin (B3) – Converts food to energy and maintains nervous system and digestive health.
  • Pyridoxine (B6) – Aids the body in the use and storage of energy from protein and carbohydrates and aids in production of haemoglobin.
  • Cobalamin (B12) – Aids in production of red blood cells, maintains nervous system health, aids in processing of folic acid.
  • Folic acid – Works with B12 to produce healthy red blood cells and reduces risk of spina bifida in unborn babies when taken by pregnant women.
  • Inositol - Helps in formation of proper cell membranes, aids nerve transmission and helps transport fats within the body. Research has also shown that inositol may naturally reduce anxiety.
  • Vitamin C – Protects cells and helps the body absorb iron from food.
  • Vitamin E – Natural antioxidant that protects cell membranes.

As you can see, many of Chlorella’s vitamins and minerals work in conjunction to ensure good health throughout the body.
